Director's message to HB Beal community

Posted On Monday September 21, 2020

Following the announcement by the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) that a positive case of COVID-19 was identified at H.B. Beal Secondary School, Thames Valley immediately notified staff, and parents and guardians of all Beal students.

The investigation is ongoing, but MLHU has indicated that there is no evidence at this time that the case resulted from contact at the school.

If you have not been contacted by the MLHU, your child is not considered to be at risk. Only students and staff who are at risk will be contacted by MLHU and will be asked not to return to school until they have been tested for COVID-19 and free of any symptoms.

H.B. Beal will remain open and school buses will operate.

Thames Valley wants to assure the community that our schools are carefully following all of the public health protocols to keep students and staff safe. All confirmed cases will be tracked on our website at www.tvdsb.ca/COVID19alerts

Please contact MLHU for more information at 519-663-5317.
